Celiac Coaching

If you are reading this webpage, I assume you know or have heard something about Celiac Disease, you know someone that is Celiac or you are curious for your own health reasons.

My knowledge on this subject has been painfully gained (after approximately 40 years of suffering) over the past two years subsequent to being accurately diagnosed as Celiac.

My goal is to provide you with knowledge of this disease and to help you facilitate through the challenges of transition, into a healthy, fulfilling Celiac lifestyle by providing:

Education:

Understand what Celiac Disease really is and what it will mean to you

Diagnosis:

Help you to determine/uncover whether you are Celiac or just have intolerance/sensitivities to other food types such as wheat, gluten etc.

Coaching:

What foods to eat or not to eat

Where to buy gluten free foods

How to survive day to day living, social events, dinner parties, eating out at restaurants, etc.

Who can help you – It is crucial for yourself to build a support network

Education:

What is Celiac Disease?

Celiac Disease is a hereditary digestive disease that can be developed at any age and causes damage to the small intestine, often impeding the absorption of nutrients. Individuals with Celiac Disease cannot tolerate wheat, flour or gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley). When Celiacs eat foods containing these ingredients, it causes damage to the small intestine – (regardless of the volume).

Celiac Disease, otherwise dubbed "The Hidden Epidemic", is more serious than so many of us think or even know.

One in every hundred people are Celiac, and one in three experience gluten intolerance, however the real scary thing is that 80% of those people don’t know they have it and continue to cause damage to themselves and their bodies innocently and unknowingly through their diet.

Diagnosis:

Possible Symptoms:

Abdominal pain/ Anemia (iron deficiency) / Anxiety / Arthritis / Bloating / Bone pain or other Autoimmune issues / Constipation / Diabetes / Diarrhea / Depression / Ear infections / Eczema / IBS- Irritable Bowel Syndrome / Fatigue / Fibromyalgia / Headaches / Heartburn / Hypoglycemia / Illness / Irritability / Migraines and mood swings / Osteoporosis/ Rashes / Sinus problems

These symptoms are often masqueraded as many other illnesses...and it is those conditions that are often diagnosed instead of Celiac Disease, which leads to the one thing that most Celiac’s have in common; they have endured a very long journey to diagnosis. A journey that is often full of pain, denial, self doubt, and frustration.

If the answer to any of the above symptoms is YES, your next step would be to see your physician and ask to be given the blood test that tests for Celiac Disease. One thing you should be aware of is that you don’t necessarily have to be Celiac to experience any or all of these symptoms. You could simply have an intolerance or sensitivity to gluten, wheat or flour that would likely cause some of the same symptoms as a Celiac would experience.

Coaching:

If you think you may be a sufferer or know someone who is, we know you are experiencing many challenges in trying to adapt and deal with this significant and serious change in all aspects of your life.

My experience with this disease and successful transition to a confident, self managed, energetic Celiac; together with our coaching programs (inneracts’ success, achievements and experience) make us a perfect partner to help you adapt and recapture that “feel great” person you so want and deserve to be.
